Trailer Lawyers v. Snake Farm: battle of the theme songs
I've nominated this song as the official theme music for Trailer Lawyer posts. A reader nominated this terrific song as the anti-Snake Farm, pro-Trailer Lawyer anthem. There were other good suggestions from readers for theme music in the comments to this post, and more are welcome. We can't make these important decisions lightly.
I normally surf to your website from my workplace, but with articles like this one that presents a problem. YouTube is one of the sites that is blocked by my company, and I'm sure my employer isn't the only one who blocks access to that particular. For those of us who work at any of these companies, the result with posts like this one is that we have no way to tell what song you're referring to unless we can get around the block or remember to check later from home.
Blocking YouTube? How barbaric. The first song is King of the Road by Roger Miller, with the first line of "Trailers for sale or rent," and the second is Snake Farm, by Ray Wylie Hubbard, a song about a woman who works at a reptile house. I don't put descriptions of the songs in because it spoils the joke, but as a free man I had not anticipated the reactionary tactics of oppressive employers. I'll try to remember in the future.
I voted for Roger Miller. It was good for a laugh.
David,
So much for you being a shill for insurance companies. You're producing or linking to content that can't even be accessed by employees or agents of at least one prominent insurance company.
