Uninsured Art
I don't follow British politics very closely, so I'm not taking sides, but I liked this post attacking the City Council of Southampton for failing to insure a £135 million art collection for the last 12 years. £135 million? That's a pretty good size art collection considering Southampton has just 217,000 people. Since the Council just bought another painting for £250,000, you'd think they could find a few quid for insurance.
